Playing the Numbers: Set your Business Apart...Through Context

Data, rightly wielded, can give you the insight to pivot.  What pivot points are there...too many to count, but here is a sampling:

  • Sales: throttle funding on outbound activities or efforts to generate inbound leads in response to click-through metrics
  • Product: move paywalls in & out in response to user activity data
  • Operations: set and monitor goals for your WIP throughput to grow at the edge of redlining continually
  • Accounting: improve cashflow by shortening AR contract terms and elongating AP contract terms

Outperform your context.  Compare yourself and your success to peers; this means-don't try to be something you're not.  We all have aspirations, but be patient-with a focused product and a determination for mastering the details, you'll get to the spot where your context changes-meaning you'll be growing into who want to be.
